Dear Virginia Parks' Families:

Welcome to a new school year. We are extremely excited to open our new classroom additions this year. We are opening 2 new kindergarten classrooms and a pre-school classroom. I appreciate all of the flexibility our families, staff, and students have shown as we were under construction.

The construction project was planned to be completed in December, but with all of the hard work from the construction crew and the flexibility of our staff, the building is planned to be completed in August.

As we plan for the 2011-2012 school year, we will be focusing on making a difference and helping students understand that they matter. Virginia Parks will be following the "Every Monday Matters" program this school year. The goal is to change the “image” of Mondays by making them mean something amazing, something incredible, something unbelievable. We will be working on activities and curriculum to make a difference in our lives and our school community.

We have a very strong, caring and supportive staff at Virginia Parks Elementary School. Our goal is for every child to be successful and to be the best student they can be. We believe that all children are special and capable of learning. Our staff will continue to strive to meet the needs of all children through providing quality education.
